Patrols route to clean and replace street light globes and
illuminators: Turns crank to lower street lights suspended from
utility poles or stands in hydraulically operated tower-truck
bucket to reach lamps installed on top of street light posts.
Removes and cleans globe or diffuse (lens).
Relpaces defective
illuminating elements, such as incandescent bulbs, fluorescent
tubes, or carbon electrodes. Performs repairs, such as replacing
corroded reflectors and connecting loose wires.
Reports defects
for repair by Street-Light Srevicer (utilities). May drive
truck.
